Hi, my name is Erin and this blog was created for my English class. During this semester I will be posting about musicians and composers who changed and greatly influenced music and how their influence is still alive in today's music. The musicians/composers will be from all genres and types of music and all different times periods. There will be some classical composers from the 1500s and some more modern like Ray Charles and Lead Zeppelin. I will also include some jazz musicians such as Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus and other greats such as them. There will also be a post on the March King, John Philip Sousa!!! That was my inner band geek coming out. I hope to cover a wide range of musical legends on this blog.
